Brympton House Wedding - Fern & James

brympton house wedding photographer

As a seasoned Brympton House wedding photographer, I had a chance to get to know the couple at the engagement session at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich.

Fern and James are the kind of couple you just know are truly made for one another, so capturing their Brympton House wedding was a real honour!

The bride, her bridesmaids and flower girls got ready in Cerne Abbas in Dorset where Fern grew up. It was the perfect moment to relive growing up years. Fern looked lovely in her dress and was so excited to see her gorgeous husband to be when she approached him down the aisle. The ceremony was incredibly touching as it really was obvious for the world to see how much this lovely couple adores each other.

Sherborne Abbey Wedding photography

The ceremony took place in stunning and majestic Sherborne abbey while the wedding reception took place at Brympton House, where I photograph weddings on regular basis as a renowned Brympton House wedding photographer.
When I arrived at Brympton in Somerset for Fern and James’ wedding, it was obvious that the years of planning and saving for the day really paid off as the place looked stunning. I love Fern and James’ choice of colour scheme, it suited the venue perfectly!

Brympton House Wedding Photographer

No doubts, Brympton House is a beautiful romantic wedding venue & understandably, one that I love working in as a Brympton House Wedding Photographer. The house and its grounds ooze class and gentle English charm, a delicious mix of the historic and the modern. After the wedding breakfast and brilliant speeches, all the guests moved to The Stables for the evening entertainment which included a carousel, fire dancers, ice cream stands, etc. The venue turned into a funfair park!

Many thanks to the wonderful vendors such as Cakes by Samantha who made the couple one of the most beautiful cakes I’ve ever seen; Caroline Castigliano who made the bride’s gorgeous wedding dress, and the Brympton House team who handled the Flowers & Decoration and put it all together flawlessly.

I loved the time I spent photographing them together as their official wedding photographer Brympton House because their natural and gentle affection of each other made my job an absolute breeze!

If you’re considering hiring Somerset Wedding Photographer for your Brympton House wedding photography, please don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss your requirements.

Kings Weston House wedding - Hollie & Jimmy

kings weston house wedding photographer

Kings Weston House wedding photographer

Hollie and Jimmy, a totally sweet couple, had their dream Bristol wedding at the historic Kings Weston House in the presence of their excited family and friends. The joy in the air was palpable and I was able to capture the positive vibes on camera.

As a regular Kings Weston House wedding photographer, I love to photograph at the KWH because of its beautiful décor and how spacious it is. Built many centuries ago, the Kings Weston house boasts of a plethora of 18th-century features, including magnificent ceilings, marble fireplaces, and a stunning suspended central staircase. It is elegant and characterful, yet retains the charm of a lived-in and loved family home.

On the big day, the bride and her seven bridesmaids got ready in a spacious bridal room at Kings Weston House. Hollie’s hair and Make-Up were done by the talented Emma Dawson. Her gorgeous dress was by Bride at Home. I also had a chance to capture groom with his two best men before the ceremony.

The ceremony was held in the Great Hall while the wedding breakfast took place in the stunning Vanbrugh room. After the ceremony, we all went outside where the drinks reception and group pictures took place, thanks to the lovely weather coupled with the lovely surrounding which created a romantic ambience. This provided the perfect setting for the guests to enjoy their drinks reception while I clicked away.

After the speeches and after the cake was cut, we had some time for evening pics. The guests also hung out in the Portrait gallery where the couple had set up DIY photo booth and obviously at the bar. We finished the Kings Weston wedding photography with some awesome night time shots.

Many thanks to Elizabeth weddings that did the styling, Rachel from The Rose Shed who supplied the flowers and lastly to the band, the Shuffles, who serenaded the guests with good music in the Oak room where the first dance also took place. These amazing vendors were very easy to work with and made my experience a smooth one.

Big congratulations to the amazing couple, Hollie & Jimmy, who liked my last wedding at Kings Weston House and got in touch with me to photograph theirs! I worked with them to create beautiful memories just to ensure their Kings Weston House wedding was as they have always imagined it would be.

SS Great Britain wedding - Laura & Alex

ss great britain wedding photography

As a recommended SS Great Britain wedding photographer, I photograph weddings at this venue on a regular basis. Launched in 1843 as the world’s first luxury ocean liner, the SS Great Britain is a truly unique venue for wedding ceremonies and receptions. This unique wedding venue is also the first wedding venue in Bristol where couple could get married outside the Bristol register office.

Laura and Alex didn’t only have perfect weather for their wedding at SS Great Britain; they had an incredibly unique day all together. It was a spring wedding with summer weather. A dream wedding on board one of the world’s greatest historic ships, creating memories to cherish and last a lifetime.

SS Great Britain Wedding Photography

The bride with her bridesmaids got ready at her parents’ house near Bristol. Her hair was made by Broad St. weddings, her make-up done by Kathryn from Powder & Paint. Abigail Westrup Bridal handled the Dress alteration while the bride’s gorgeous head piece called Maui was handmade by Abigail Grace design. On the other hand, the groom with his groomsmen arrived at SS Great Britain in style by ferry from the city center.

The ceremony was lovely and I especially loved the unique flowers supplied by Emma Petersson. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed the sunshine on the weather deck where drinks reception was held. It was lovely to have a quick chat with parents of one of my brides whose wedding I photographed few years back, it turned out that there are bride's parents friends.

The speeches were downright hilarious! Right after the speeches, we manages to catch the last rays of Sun and took some portraits just before the sunset. The wedding at SS Great Britain wouldn't be completed without some evening portraits as the ship looks incredible at night. After that, it was back to the party to spend time with friends and family to celebrate the happiest day of their lives. The Jacks through Warble Entertainments serenaded the guests with good music

If you are considering wedding at SS Great Britain (or anywhere in Bristol) please don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss your SS Great Britain wedding photography requirements.

"Dear Martin, thank you so much for amazing pictures you took on our wedding day. We are so grateful to you-the day goes by in such a blur, but we have a fantastic set of picture memories. You captured key parts throughout the whole day and we are so pleased. We will be singing your praises to anyone and everyone. Thank you Laura & Alex"

Great Tythe Barn wedding - Abbey & Roye

great tythe barn wedding photography

Abbey and Roye’s wedding at the Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury, Gloucestershire, was a great success. Went so fast with so much fun, I really don’t know where the time went!  I met the couple few years before their wedding when I photographed Abbey's brother wedding and I was pleased to be chosen to cover their Great Tythe Barn wedding photography. When they told me about their wedding plans, It was clear the guests were going to have a blast!

I photographed the brides prep at Abbey's home, which was close to the St Michael Church in Stoke Gifford followed by a lovely ceremony, with a few tears of joy, in the main barn which looked beautiful.  The vicar was very accommodating and with great sense of humor which make the ceremony even more special. He started the ceremony from taking selfie of him, couple and all the guests. On the way to the Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury (where I photographed before) we stopped by the Clifton Suspension Bridge, which is a Bristol landmark and most popular choice for married couples for a photo session.

Great Tythe Barn Wedding Photography

There was steel band playing during the drink reception. After the meal were some hilarious well executed speeches, again with a few tears of joy.

Before I left though I photographed them to lit Sky lantern in memory of Roye's closes ones who left before the wedding, which was a very touching moment.

Special credits to Spirit Wedding Cars that provided the 1930's Style White Beauford Wedding Car, Emma Peterson Designer Florist for the beautiful flowers and A Class Brides for the gorgeous dress worn by the bride.

If you are considering getting married at The Great Tythe Barn and you like my Great Tythe barn wedding photography. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss your wedding photography requirements.

"Our brother got married in 2014 and used Martin as their photographer. We found him to be extremely professional and not intrusive at all, he captured all the right pictures to give our wedding album the complete journey from the start of the day to the very end. Excellent photographer, we would highly recommend him! He made us feel very relaxed on our special day and went the extra mile to make our photos look amazing. Our wedding was held at St Micheal's Church Stoke Gifford and reception was held at the Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury" - Abbey & Roye

Summer wedding at Caswell House - Gemma & Neil

caswell house wedding photography

Neil and Gemma’s wedding was a beautiful sunny summer Caswell House Wedding in Oxfordshire. Being in charge of their Caswell House Wedding photography last summer was a wonderful experience for me because I had never photographed at this venue before the couple found me on the internet and booked my without even meeting up.

On the big day, the bride and her bridesmaids got ready in B&B near Burford.

The ceremony was held at St John the Baptist; an Anglican, evangelical church in the historic town of Burford. The couple was joined and blessed inside St John the Baptist’s historic and magnificent church building which happens to be one of the most famous buildings in the Cotswolds.

Before then, let me give you a quick walk down the memory lane. The couple met and worked at RAF and where they were based was just a few miles away from their Caswell House venue, very convenient indeed.

Caswell House Wedding Photography

After the ceremony, we proceeded to Caswell House; a stylish and exclusive Cotswold barn wedding venue with a romantic ambience. The romantic surroundings with flagstone floors, honey-coloured Cotswold stone walls, oak beams and renovated barns were absolutely stunning.  The landscaped courtyard provided the perfect setting for the guests to enjoy their drinks reception while I clicked away in ecstasy. There were quite a lot of kids at the wedding, so the atmosphere was really playful.

After very touching groom's speeches and hilarious performance by Best man, we went to the fields nearby for some more pics just before the sunset.

Big congrats to this amazing and happy couple who found me on the internet and fell in love with my work! I worked with them to create beautiful memories just to ensure their Caswell House wedding was as they have always imagined it would be.

If you are getting married at Caswell House and you like my Caswell House wedding photography, please get in touch to talk about your wedding requirements.

"What an amazing photographer Martin was! His professionalism and dedication throughout the day was unmeasurable. We have the photos of our dreams that will be cherished for a lifetime, all because of him. He stayed longer than was asked of him and was so good at what he does, I don't recall even seeing him during the day, yet the photos were there! You can see the pics all on his website of our day at Caswell house and see for yourself. Well done Martin, and once again.... Thank you!!!"  - Gemma & Neil

Winter wedding at Bridwell Park - Hannah & Mike

bridwell park wedding photographer

As a first time Bridwell Park wedding photographer, Hannah and Mike's 'I'll love you till the end' wedding was a wonderful experience for me. Being a wedding stylist herself, the bride, Hannah, did a great job in planning and executing a beautiful ceremony in the Bridwell’s Park.

The exclusive country house venue is Bridwell Park, Devon, home to lord Ivar Mountbatten. Bridwell Park is a stunning classy venue in Devon. This gorgeous Georgian house is surrounded by beautiful parkland offering a perfect location and flexible, easily accessed private facilities. Its wonderful style and ambience gives it a relaxed feel that appeals to couples.

Hannah wore a Catherine Deane dress and made her own headpiece, shawl and bouquet. Her hair and make-up were done by Billie Edge while the cake was by Daisy Molly and Me. The Black Friday was the band who serenaded us with lovely music. These are all great wedding suppliers selected by the bride based on their past work and now personal relationships. In the last two years we did lots of photo shoots together in the best wedding venues in Devon, including: Huntsham court, Rockbeare Manor and famous The Game of Thrones shoot at The Deer Park Hotel.

Bridwell Park wedding photographer

The ceremony and evening party was held in Bridwell's private Gothic chapel with about 46 close family and friends present. Drinks reception and family prepared feast was enjoyed within the main house. This was followed by excellent speeches and even better dancing. Somewhere in between all this excitement we found time for some quiet portraits, taking advantage of this very nice location.

Devon reserved some fantastic weather for Hannah and Mike’s wedding, encouraging one of those relaxed type of days that are so much fun to photograph. The wedding focused on Hannah and Mike’s love for each other, woodlands, textiles, crafts, folk music and enchanting settings and I made sure to capture all on camera. I'm pleased to say that their lovely wedding was featured on The Wedding Community and The English Wedding blog.

"Martin Dabek photographed our wedding in February 2017 at Bridwell Park, Devon. Martin was a true professional throughout and had us all at ease with having our photos taken instantly. Michael and I have never had professional photo's taken of us together and were slightly worried about the experience. Martin took away any worries we had straight away, he guided us effortlessly when needed others times he just blended in the background. Martin had fantastic ideas for capturing the perfect shots inside and out using very skilled techniques. I can honestly say we are absolutely thrilled with our photos they are timeless, beautiful and most of all Martin captured our love and connection with feeling and romance. You can't under estimate the power of a picture. If your looking for breathtaking images capturing your true love and joy Martin is the photographer for you. Incredible service and creativity from start to finish, Thank you so much Martin you did a stunning job." - Hannah & Michael

Winter wedding at Brympton House - Laura & Sam

brympton wedding photographer

I recently had the absolute delight of being Laura & Sam’s Brympton House Winter wedding photographer. They are a wonderful couple with deep love and affection for each other.

The civil ceremony took place in Castle House, a medieval building adjacent to the main house, with its elegant long aisle leading up to the beautifully arched mullion window while the party took place in The Stables with fantastic lighting and disco by Andy Martin Entertainment.

Every wedding venue including Brympton House has a unique ‘feel’. Built in beautiful local Hamstone with its beautiful architecture, Brympton House is simply a venue right out of a bestselling romantic novel and has the ability to create the most charming wedding anyone can dream of! The magnificent Brympton House in Somerset is set amongst an undulating 33 acres of land that includes an orchard, a walled garden, a Japanese Garden, and a lake. It oozes class, luxury and a gentle English charm, a perfect blend of the modern and historic!

Ultimately, Laura and Sam’s was a perfect wedding and I was thrilled to be a little part of it. It was an incredible sunny winter wedding and the bride, Laura got ready in bridal suite with her bridesmaids. She had her make-up done by Sally Bracey and her hair done by Louise Alway.

Claire Dibble, a professional Harpist, made this wedding extra special with beautiful harp music. Because the weather was beautiful, drinks, reception, and family pictures were outside on the South Terrace. The groom, Sam, with groomsmen were meeting and greeting the guests in the Library bar. Speeches took place at the stairs and the wedding breakfast was in The Salon which was beautifully lit by candles.

After the meal, I took couple for some evening portraits by the lake. When it was time for cutting of the magnificent cake made by Laura's friend, it was done in the Cake room. A big congratulation to Laura & Sam, below is a small preview of their big day.

Getting married at Brympton House? This venue is sure to bring a touch of grandeur and luxury to your wedding day, and I’d like nothing more than to be your Brympton House Winter wedding photographer. Or are you getting married anywhere else and are still looking for a wedding photographer to capture your day in a creative yet relaxed fashion? Please contact me, I would love to hear from you.

"Used Martin for our wedding at Brympton House, he had a laid back attitude (didn't make a big thing of group photos being done at a set time or in a set order). He was good at catching people behaving naturally and had a good eye for taking the best photos. It was so hard to choose album photos from his selection that we ended up adding 10 extra pages!" - Laura & Sam

Summer wedding at Priston Mill - Gemma & Lee

priston mill wedding photographer

I photograph quite a lot Priston Mill weddings and it’s one of my favourite venues so when the couple found me on the wedding photographer Priston Mill recommended supplier list and contacted me, I knew this wedding would be a beautiful one and it didn’t disappoint.

Held on the last day of July, Gemma & Lee’s Priston Mill wedding was absolutely charming and gorgeous, typical of a wedding between two love birds. The bride got ready at Radford Villa, lovely B&B not far from the venue. Gemma was an absolutely stunning bride; her beautiful features enhanced by the talented Ellie Hitchens who did her make-up.

The beautiful flowers were made by Sweet Lavender Blue, and the colours of the bride’s bouquet matched the groom’s boutonniere. The bridesmaids wore a rich blush pink flowing gown which matched the groom’s tie. The stunning headpiece was created by Abigail Grace design. The colours were a perfect complement to both Gemma and Lee, highlighting the beauty of their eyes!

The wedding got off to a wonderful start with friends and families excited to be part of their big day. The groom is an enthusiast of beer making, so the couple incorporated this into their wedding and each table was named after a different beer. Naming the tables after different kind of ales was a unique feature which was quite intriguing for the guests.

There were also a lot of garden games to keep the guests entertained and after the speeches, the couple put their wellies on and we went for mini-sessions at the fields nearby.

After cutting the beautiful cake by Cemlyn Cakes, the guests danced off to music by The Beehives band.

Wedding Photographer Priston Mill

"From the moment we first met with Martin to discuss our wedding at Pristol Mill, we knew he'd do a great job and we weren't disappointed. His experience of the venue really helped him capture our day perfectly as he knew where had the best lighting at certain times of the day and his talent at 'telling the story' of our day really brought our images to life. His relaxed and unobtrusive style helped us both feel at ease in front of the camera and he was great at organising our guests to take the perfect shot.
From discussing our requirements at our first meeting to editing our photos for the album afterwards, Martin was quick to reply to e-mails at a time when we had a lot to organise and I would thoroughly recommend Martin Dabek to photograph your big day and capture everything about it that you wish to remember, perfectly. Thank you!"
