Kings Weston House wedding - Hollie & Jimmy

Kings Weston House wedding photographer

Hollie and Jimmy, a totally sweet couple, had their dream Bristol wedding at the historic Kings Weston House in the presence of their excited family and friends. The joy in the air was palpable and I was able to capture the positive vibes on camera.

As a regular Kings Weston House wedding photographer, I love to photograph at the KWH because of its beautiful décor and how spacious it is. Built many centuries ago, the Kings Weston house boasts of a plethora of 18th-century features, including magnificent ceilings, marble fireplaces, and a stunning suspended central staircase. It is elegant and characterful, yet retains the charm of a lived-in and loved family home.

On the big day, the bride and her seven bridesmaids got ready in a spacious bridal room at Kings Weston House. Hollie’s hair and Make-Up were done by the talented Emma Dawson. Her gorgeous dress was by Bride at Home. I also had a chance to capture groom with his two best men before the ceremony.

The ceremony was held in the Great Hall while the wedding breakfast took place in the stunning Vanbrugh room. After the ceremony, we all went outside where the drinks reception and group pictures took place, thanks to the lovely weather coupled with the lovely surrounding which created a romantic ambience. This provided the perfect setting for the guests to enjoy their drinks reception while I clicked away.

After the speeches and after the cake was cut, we had some time for evening pics. The guests also hung out in the Portrait gallery where the couple had set up DIY photo booth and obviously at the bar. We finished the Kings Weston wedding photography with some awesome night time shots.

Many thanks to Elizabeth weddings that did the styling, Rachel from The Rose Shed who supplied the flowers and lastly to the band, the Shuffles, who serenaded the guests with good music in the Oak room where the first dance also took place. These amazing vendors were very easy to work with and made my experience a smooth one.

Big congratulations to the amazing couple, Hollie & Jimmy, who liked my last wedding at Kings Weston House and got in touch with me to photograph theirs! I worked with them to create beautiful memories just to ensure their Kings Weston House wedding was as they have always imagined it would be.

If you are looking for Kings Weston House wedding photographer, please get in touch. I would love to hear all about your wedding plans.

Wedding at Brympton House - Kate & Simon

brympton house wedding

Wedding photography Brympton House at it's best! Kate and Simon’s wedding at Brympton House was truly one heroic affair to remember! Full of magic and light, this couple spared no detail when it came to a day full of romance, love, laughter and joy. It had all of the qualities you want to photograph captured in one lovely wedding. The love and laughter shared between this couple, made this country house castle the perfect place for Kate and Simon to say “I do.”

The moment Kate stepped out of her bridal suite, in her stunning white gown accented with floral lace, I knew this Brympton House wedding was going to be special. Special moments continued to highlight the big day - especially the moment her Father saw her for the first time. His adoration for his beautiful daughter was just as stunning as Kate.

A traditional English ceremony, full of love and support from family and friends, there wasn’t a dull moment the entire day - even the moment they sealed their love with a kiss was purely magical. This lovely and fun couple from London were truly wonderful to photograph. The day was full of laughter and fun, especially since the Groom writes for stand up comedians! Their superhero wedding theme brought the entire day to life at Brympton House, where I have had the distinct privilege of photographing other weddings, but where this one stood out as exceptionally amazing.

Wedding photography Brympton House

Kate and Simon’s unique day was full of sweet moments, especially when all of the children in attendance arrived in full superhero fancy dress. There was also a blessing by the Groom’s Mum at The Temple. Before the meal, they shared a simple private moment with just the three of them and myself. The first dance was the funniest I have ever seen, and the band consisted of wedding guests including the best man!

What I love about this venue is that every part of the day takes place in a different place on the grounds. The ceremony takes place in the Castle House. A cocktail reception with games is hosted on the South Terrace. The gorgeous wedding reception takes place in the ballroom, and the cutting of the cake (created by Cakes by Samantha) happens in The Great Hall. Finally, an evening dance kicks off at The Stables - all elegant, classic, timeless places to hold one posh wedding affair to remember. All of the places were stunningly decorated and stylised by in house florist (Emily) and in house stylist (Ellie) from Tie the Knot.

It was a pleasure to work along Rich from I Do Film Weddings and Jacob Boodrie who was assisting me on this epic Brympton House wedding. Their fun-filled superhero wedding was also featured on Easy Weddings website.

Rockbeare manor wedding

Rockbeare Manor wedding venue is Devon’s newest venue situated near Exeter.

This striking Grade I listed Regency House has now been given a new lease of life. It has been sensitively transformed into a wonderful contemporary venue, whilst still retaining the beauty of its past, creating without doubt a truly outstanding, exclusive use wedding venue.

Having been recommended wedding photographer by Rockbeare Manor's renowned sister venues (Priston Mill and Coombe Lodge) for few years now and it was a privilege to take part in the first wedding photo shoot at this stunning new venue.

The styling was done by the very talented Hannah Taylor, which I had a pleasure to work for the fourth time. The stationery was created by Oh so Vintage and Enchanting and the cake was made by Daisy Molly & Me.

We started the session with some shots of John in the Billiard Room, with its low lighting and antique billiard table, it is a perfect retreat for the men of the wedding party throughout the day.

After wards the sweeping staircase lead us to an opulent bridal Drawing Room with floor-to-ceiling windows and grand balcony. Here Billie Edge was doing her magic with Michelle's hair and make-up. Billie is a very creative person indeed, she also made the pink dress that we used later on. Amazing! After few touches the couple was ready for some photos and Rockbeare Manor has endless opportunities for unique and memorable photographs.  It goes without saying that couple looked grant in the dress and menswear  kindly supplied by Anne Harding.

After some shots in Bridal Drawing room and it's private balcony spanning the front of the house we moved downstairs to the Manor’s formal Dining Room, which is used to conduct Civil Ceremonies.

It's graceful setting with handcrafted ornamental plasterwork, marble pillars and a giant original chandelier was a perfect backdrop for the table already set up by Hannah.

If you are looking for an astonishingly elegant Devon wedding venue then you must come to visit Rockbeare Manor and if you are planning Rockbeare Manor wedding please get in touch to talk about your wedding photography requirements

crowcombe court wedding

Crowcombe Court wedding

Crowcombe Court wedding venue is standing proudly at the edge of Quantock Hills in Somerset. The magnificent house at Crowcombe Court was built in the 1730s in the English Baroque style from beautiful amber coloured bricks with Bath stone for the pilasters and frontispiece. It is an enchanting and delectable place where joyous memories are engraved in the building's history.

Such memories were created by Amanda and Paul on their wedding day. I started the day with Paul and the groomsmen in the village pub; after that, the boys headed to the Church of the Holy Ghost where the couple chosen to have their wedding ceremony. Photographing the last touches of preparing for the big day, I followed the bride and bridesmaids from Crowcombe Court to the church.
The vintage decorations added to the Edwardian theme of the wedding whilst the vibrant colours illuminated the scenery. The bride wore a mesmerisingly beautify dress with delicate pearl touches from Bridal Emporium. I photographed the most diminutive detail including the moment when the couple gazed into each others eyes their hearts brimmed to the full with happiness - thrills of elation swept through the church as the couple said their "I do's.
Furthermore, the newly wed bride and groom led their guest to Crowcombe Court where they chose to have their reception. During the drinks reception, the guests were jazzed by the jazz band where the grooms father starred on the drums.
Humorous speeches lightened up the couples path to their new life as husband and wife. They cut the cake and whirled on the dance floor to ceilidh band as I proceeded to finish the day with some evening shoots that will finish their wedding album nicely.

eastington park wedding

Eastington Park wedding

Eastington Park wedding venue is an elegant, 18th century manor house located in Gloucestershire. It was where El and Ben decided to have their reception as a part of their very special wedding day. The sun was shining and the day was beautiful as any couple would hope for on their wedding day.

El looked stunning in her vintage dress that was designed and made by Cocoa Couture and her bouquet, made with colorful flowers and greenery, was the perfect addition to her vintage attire and represented the spring day perfectly. Ben had a whopping three different outfits to wear as well, changing from his naval uniform to a Scottish kilt, and topping off the evening with a pink suit for the reception.

The ceremony took place at St. Michael and All Angels church, which was in walking distance of their  Eastington Park wedding venue. El was escorted down the aisle and to the altar by Morris dancers, and she wore bells around her ankles.

After the couple said their 'I Do's', it was time to take some photos with the happy couple and their wedding party before heading back to Eastington Park for the reception. After the dinner and the first dance of the newlyweds, the Ceilidh Band was entertaining the guests as bride and groom.

As a special treat, guests also got to hear Ben's cousin playing the saxophone throughout the evening, and it offered a great opportunity for us to get some photos of him and the happy couple. Many people took to the dance floor and happily celebrated throughout the evening and into the night with El and Ben, who smiled and laughed the whole night through.

Wedding at Coombe Lodge

coombe lodge sunset

Owing to the theme of unique wedding at Coombe Lodge, I've decided to bring you the wedding of Carly and John.

Carly contacted me after finding me as a recommended supplier by Coombe Lodge, and I'm so thrilled she did. It's always a privilege to be a part of something so special, and with the individuality that came with this wedding - including the wedding dress by Cocoa Couture in Cheltenham and pictures by Bristol's Suspension Bridge - came a day full of treasured memories. They married in Clifton, before moving on to Coombe Lodge for the reception.

The cars came courtesy of De Gournay Wedding Cars, and the cake from Pretty Amazing Cakes. Both helped to create a one-of-a-kind feel for the day. To match Carly's beautiful dress, her hair was done by Clair Swinscoe Hair. The wedding rings were designed by Dagons Workshop in Clifton Village, and the music came by way of The Wedding Players. The flowers were provided by Lucy Anna Flowers. All these things added to the day to make it memorable, but perhaps the most memorable part of all was this:

A vintage plane made a few circles in the air, much to the surprise and enjoyment of the guests! Carly organised it as a surprise for her new husband, who was overjoyed. Their first dance was something to be remembered too; perfectly choreographed and well prepared.

A beautiful sunset framed the final moments of the day, and what a day it was! I wish Carly and John all the best in their future together.

"Martin photographed our wedding at Coombe Lodge in May 2015 and was absolutely fantastic. He arrived early and stayed with us until really late, we have a fab album, all our photos, iPhone album and he even surprised us with film clips during Church and of our first dance. Martin captured every moment for us, everything we asked for and much more! We took the option to have a photo booth in the evening and I'd highly recommend that as well - our guests thought it was great fun!"

Elmore Court wedding

elmore court wedding

It's been a very busy Summer for me so far! I've had many weddings to photograph and celebrate, and today I'm happy to bring you the Elmore Court wedding of Natalie and Jay.

I was familiar with Jay already; I'd been lucky enough to photograph his brother's wedding a few years back. Jay's day was special in much the same way, with a truly appreciative feel and plenty of loving family and friends around to share in the event.

Natalie prepared for the day at her mother's house, with make up by Heather Heaton Beauty. She chose her beautiful dress from The Mews of Clifton. There was an air of lovely nostalgia about, as Natalie and Jay married in Cranham church, nestled  in the Cotswolds hills, in the same place as both Natalie's parents and grandparents. They then moved on to Elmore Court for the delicious food and reception. Music was provided by the Moonloungers.

The cars were of Barrington Cars, and the flowers by Wild About Flowers. As far as appearances go, this wedding was one of the prettiest - and quite unique to boot, too! Before the nuptials, Jay had been studying extinct salamanders in China for many months. Both he and Natalie wanted to include this in their special day, and so designed their cake with the help of Nom Noms Cupcakery to ensure a fabulous final piece. Not to mention the table names too!

It was a stunning day, and I'm so pleased I was chosen to share in it with the lovely couple. They closed out the evening by setting lanterns into the sky. I wish them the best in their lives together! If you would like to see my previous Elmore Court wedding click here.

"We first met Martin when he photographer my brother in laws wedding. We loved his pictures, everyone looked so natural and relaxed, he has an eye for creating beautiful images.
Martin photographed our wedding at Elmore Court, he took great family pictures but then also took some beautiful photographs around the grounds of us together. I could not be any more pleased with the results, the album created is brilliant and there are some truly unique images.
Martin is great at putting you at ease and getting some lovely images without your realising he is there, he is a by calming influence and for someone who doesn't love having their picture taken, he did brilliantly. Thank you Martin!!"   Natalie & Jay

Nathan and Catherine decided to go for Coombe Lodge wedding. They were married recently in a beautiful ceremony at one of my favourite wedding venues.

Nestled at the foot of the Mendip Hills, within the North Somerset & Bristol area, Coombe Lodge has breathtaking views across the Chew Valley. It is in a picturesque rural location yet easily accessible by road  just a few miles from Bristol Airport. As a wedding venue Coombe Lodge promises exclusive use of the house and gardens. It's a tranquil oasis, ideal for wedding receptions and ceremonies.

Coombe Lodge extends wonderful views and backdrops for a classic affair, and Nathan and Catherine's was nothing short of beautiful.

Currently living in New York, both Nathan and Catherine are originally from the UK and chose to honour their roots by coming home to celebrate their union. Luckily for me, their wedding was not the first time I had photographed them; I also captured their "grafitti" engagement session in Bristol.

There were lovely pops of blue and bronze throughout the day, with teal dresses and unique flowers and bracelets. Catherine looked stunning in her dress from Teokath of London and her make up by Cat Parnell. The couple chose Nina Bromham to sing them through the day and into the evening.

It was a wonderful celebration, with guests flying in from all over the world. After incredible hilarious speeches there was a beautiful sunset that afforded gorgeous evening shots of the newlyweds and their guests.

It was a truly lovely wedding day to be a part of, and I wish Nathan and Catherine all the best in their lives together.
