Frequently asked questions

We don’t like having our picture taken, can you help?

No sorry, I can’t. Just kidding! Don’t worry, this is a normal response!  I won’t make you feel akward you or ask you to ‘smile’, instead I will give you space and opportunity to just be yourself with one another, leaving me to capture your love as honestly as possible through a range of fun and engaging interactions. I don’t need lots of time on your wedding to create lovely portraits of you. I know you would like to spend time with your guests and have a drink!

How long until we receive our photographs?

I guarantee a maximum of 4 weeks, although I aim for 2. Hopefully they should be ready by the time you return from honeymoon. I will also put a sneak peak on my facebook page just after your wedding.

Are you insured?

Yes! Public liability and professional indemnity.

What happens if you’re ill on the wedding day?

Whilst this has never happened, I do have a backup plan. I would arrange for another professional with a similar style to my own to work on my behalf. If you found your own arrangements then you would of course be entitled to a full refund

Can we choose images for our album?

Yes sure! I’m happy to design it myself, or you can choose about 30 of your favourite images for me to include. Then I will send you a PDF of every page for you to approve or to make some changes if required.

Do you take formal group photos?

Yes, and I do this quickly and efficiently, leaving you as much time to enjoy your day as possible. I believe that group photos are an important way to make a historical record of people who may not find themselves together again. Certainly worth doing.

Do you need feeding on the day?

For a full day shoot a meal would be great, so yes please! I will take a break during your wedding breakfast and leave you in peace to enjoy your meal. ( I eat anything !)

You haven’t worked at my venue before, will this be a problem?

I have worked at most of the wedding venues in my area and love to work at new ones. However it doesn’t matter either way as each wedding I shoot is as unique as the people getting married. I will usually visit a new venue before hand where possible. Also most of the venues where I photograph for the first time are ending up using my images on their website!

How do we book you?

I’m glad you ask! To secure the date I need a signed contract and a non-refundable deposit of £350. This will book me as your photographer, with the balance due for payment 60 days before your wedding.
