I am so lucky to be a Somerset Wedding photographer as the county has so much to offer.  Whether it’s the beauty and tranquillity of Exmoor and Mendips with their deep valleys, ancient woodlands, sea-cliffs, waterfalls and rivers.  Or the stunning gorges and caves (who can get married in a Cave!) Or the Quantocks and Blackdown Hills, that are beautiful areas that have been largely untouched over the years making them a gorgeously timeless and tranquil location for your wedding.

Then there’s Somerset’s stunning coastline with some of the highest sea cliffs in England.  You can see the second longest stretch of sandy beach in Europe at Berrow beach, or marvel at the geology and uncover superb specimens of fossils at the famous Cheddar gorge.

There is the wildlife, such as Exmoor Ponies, wild goats, rock pool creatures and wading birds. There are oyster farms and shipwrecks.  All of which would make the most dramatic setting for your wedding day.

And when it comes to food Somerset has a well-deserved and far reaching reputation for the quality of the food and drink it produces.  Whether it’s cheese from the cows enjoying the rich pastures, fish from the rivers and sea or fruit from the orchards and fields.

The best Somerset wedding venues pride themselves of sourcing the highest quality local fresh produce to feed you and your guests at your wedding.
