Stanbrook Abbey Wedding Photographer

I was looking forward to returning to this unique wedding venue and be a Stanbrook Abbey wedding photographer again. This wedding at Stanbrook Abbey in Worcestershire was one big, beautiful affair. Guests filled the abbey for John and Laura’s wedding, and the two had a wedding party full of loved ones. Laura was surrounded by seven bridesmaids as she got ready to walk down the aisle, and John had his best man and three ushers. Two adorable flower girls and one pageboy marked the beginning of the ceremony as they processed in.

Laura looked stunning in her sleeveless white gown, and based on the reactions of her father and her bridesmaids, everyone else thought she looked remarkable too.

The ceremony was full of love, tears, and laughter. John wiped tears away from his eyes as Laura walked down the aisle toward him. The couple beamed as they exchanged vows, and guests smiled along as everyone sang “All You Need is Love,” by The Beatles.  Love the idea and the little touches like this make every wedding personal and rememberable. A string quartet accompanied guests as they sang during the ceremony.

After the ceremony guests headed to the reception in St. Anne’s Hall. There was fun to be had by all as all kind of games were played between the courses. Family and friends gave toasts to the new Mr. and Mrs. leaving them laughing and crying all at the same time. Laura and John surprised everyone by opting against a first dance but instead singing the first song.

The venue was the perfect location for capturing photos of John and Laura. The pair looked incredible as they posed for photos in empty hallways with beautiful architecture, and outside on the swing and amongst the greenery. The happy couple found me through the Stanbrook Abbey recommended supplier list and really like my Stanbrook Abbey wedding photography that I created for my previous couples.

“Martin photographed our wedding at Stanbrook Abbey. We had spent a long time looking at different photographers’ works online and then met Martin at a wedding fair. We really wanted a photographer who wouldn’t do ‘stuffy’, overly formal photos and we loved the examples he showed us, especially the cool things he does with lighting and booked him.
We had a Skype call with him prior to the wedding which was great and he really took the time to find out what we wanted. He definitely listened and we found him excellent on the day!

We’ve been to a few weddings where the photographer has barked orders at everyone but Martin was incredibly natural and friendly and up for a laugh with the guests. In fact, many guests commented after the wedding saying how great the photographer was! His energy was incredible and he just ran around all over the place, somehow managing to be everywhere at once, capturing some fab shots from some great vantage points whilst never ‘imposing’ on anyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed his company on the day – you realise you spend a lot of time with your photographer on your wedding day so it’s important you have someone who knows what they’re doing and who you can have fun with!
