Wedding at St Andrews Church in Congresbury

Victoria and Jesper chose something a little different for their wedding day. After a traditional ceremony at St. Andrews Church in Congresbury, they took their guests back to the bride’s parents house. There, in the back garden, they had their reception in a traditional Scandinavian Lapkata provided by TipiEvents. There was also singing and snaps during the reception, giving the celebration a wonderfully cultured feel.

There were only one of the many lovely Swedish touches to the wedding. It was both traditional and unique, and a day that I’ll remember for quite a while.

The bride looked stunning. With make up by Powder and Paint and her dress from Sassi Holford, Victoria really was the picture of perfection. Another couple of lovely touches to the wedding were the cars, from Spirit Wedding Cars, and the flowers from The Wilde Bunch, with their pops of orange and pink, really stood out in the garden. Energetic music was provided by Skinny Dippers.

What a lovely and intimate day it was to be a part of, and I’m thrilled Victoria and Jesper chose me to capture every little moment. If you are planning wedding at St.Andrews Church in Congresbury, please get in touch.

“Martin was recommended to me by a close friend as he was the photographer at their wedding. I saw their wedding pictures and instantly knew that he was the photographer for us! As Jesper is Swedish and I English, we opted for a Scandinavian Tipi wedding and wanted our photos to reflect our hopes of the day being a traditional English garden wedding with a Scandinavian twist that was not too formal and really fun for all involved.

Martin did an amazing job in capturing every aspect of our wonderful day and summed it up completely. We and our families are more than happy with our photos and the beautiful album that he worked on for us. We found Martin to be very hard working, professional and discrete in his approach – you wouldn’t even know he was there! I particularly noticed that he has a really sharp eye, can see things and moments that make the best shots and is quick to act, moments that maybe others would otherwise be totally oblivious to. Thanks Martin for all of your hard work on our wedding and for your first class approach and service. We are most definitely recommending you to our friends and families.”  Victoria A.
