Wedding in the Woods

Nicola and Peter’s wedding in the woods was one of those celebrations where you can’t help but get caught up in the fun and happiness. The whole day was vibrant, fun, and full of life and it was my job to capture possibly the biggest smiles I’ve ever seen.

The couple invited loved ones to celebrate their nuptials at Nicola’s family home, a gorgeous old mill in Somerset. The setting was absolutely perfect for the day and the bride looked stunning as she walked down the aisle in an elegant dress from Ghost. The pair exchanged vows in an intimate outdoor ceremony surrounded by family, friends, and ferns.

Dinner was a deliciously local affair from Caroline Gent Catering, eaten inside a gorgeous marquee from South West Marquees, and the carnival spirit continued well into the night with guests encouraged to dress up and add a little sparkle to their outfits with festival inspired makeup. After the first dance everyone slipped outside to watch on, and wave sparklers, as Nicola and Peter cut their cake.

But my favourite part? During the ceremony everybody joined in with a chorus of All You Need is Love by The Beatles. This personal touch, inspired by a festive film you might remember, proved to me that love really was all around.
