I always loved returning to be an Aldwick Estate wedding photographer. A beautiful vineyard
estate wedding venue in the heart of the Somerset countryside. As a Bristol-based wedding photographer, this stunning award-winning wedding venue is just a stone’s
throw away.
Aldwick Estate is overlooked by an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty amidst the rolling
Mendip Hills. This working Somerset Vineyard makes a truly unique and stunning setting
for weddings. It is perfectly situated and offers ample parking and easy access to the M4/M5 corridor, Bristol(including the airport) Bath and the South West.
Spacious and adaptable, their two beautifully converted stone barns are connected by an oak-
floored reception space. Creating a very pleasing flow for weddings. Both barns have
neutral décor, allowing you to add your flowers and decorations to suit your tastes. This
blend of old and new means you get a truly versatile space that subtly blends rustic charm
and modern facilities in a truly idyllic setting.
One of the many things I love about capturing wedding photography at Aldwick Estate is
that they offer exclusive use, which, combined with its secluded location, makes couples
and their guests feel like they’ve stepped away from it all. It relaxes everybody,
and relaxed couples and guests make for better wedding photos!

When I capture wedding photography at Aldwick Estate, my day usually starts in the Forge, a
luxurious and spacious one-bedroom lodge apartment which makes the perfect location for
the wedding party to get ready and for me to take those all-important morning
wedding images. From there, it’s just a few steps to the ceremony.
Indoor ceremonies are held in the Old Bar, which can accommodate up to 150 guests for a
civil ceremony or blessing. Following your service, you can flow out onto the terrace for an
elegant drinks and canapes reception.
Outdoor ceremonies are held in the vineyard with the backdrop of the vines and the glorious
Somerset countryside provides a picture-perfect setting.
Wedding breakfasts are held in The New Barn, which has exposed timber beams and a cosy
brick-built bar that creates a welcoming vibe. It also has beautiful views across the
grounds, the vineyard and the countryside beyond. It can accommodate 160 seated and up to 220
guests for an evening reception.
When I capture wedding photography at Aldwick Estate, I love the fact that the new barn has
rows of large windows that throw in tons of natural light, which I play with to create even more
beautiful images. The New Barn can accommodate up to 150 seated guests and is the perfect
place to enjoy a delicious meal.
