Bristol wedding photographer
for fun-loving couples
My couples just want to have a GOOD TIME, and the last thing they want is a photographer who makes them pose all day and takes over their wedding. My style is relaxed and candid. I capture all the joyful and little moments and let you get on with having a FAB DAY.
Your wedding is all about enjoying yourself. You don’t care about worrying about the little things that don’t matter or ugly chair covers – you just want to have an AMAZING TIME with your friends and family. You can read about my approach which is ALL ABOUT YOU here.

Whether you’ve chosen a rustic barn celebration, castle wedding, fusion wedding, indoor or outdoor ceremony, humanist blessing to a full church service, hundreds of guests or an intimate elopement, at home or away I would love to be there and capture your story.
I love being a wedding photographer in Bristol, but I also travel to many locations around the UK and for destination weddings. From summer to winter weddings, I always find the beauty in every moment shared by family and friends coming together to celebrate your day.
I’ve been capturing epic memories for my couples since 2009, and so far it’s been an amazing journey. The first wedding I photographed was, while I was backpacking in Mexico, for some friends of mine. Since then I have photographed over 400 weddings in the UK and abroad.
As a well-established Bristol wedding photographer, I have been recommended at some of the best South-West wedding venues and I’m also proud to be a member of the very prestigious Best of Wedding Photography, Masters of Wedding Photography, WPJA and ISPWP.
Natural Bristol Wedding Photography
I moved to Bristol more than a decade ago. I started working at St. Christopher’s School at Westbury Park next to the famous Downs (Clifton & Durham Downs) before my love of travel and street photography saw me embarking on my career as a Bristol wedding photographer.
Twenty years later I still love living in Bristol. And what’s not to love, Bristol has a great culture of celebrating diversity attracting new residents all the time. This has created a melting pot of interesting people I meet and work with as a Bristol wedding photographer.
One of those types of people that Bristol attracts is outdoorsy types, a tribe I definitely slot into. I like climbing on the Avon Gorge and biking in The Leigh Woods. Which is another thing I love about Bristol, it’s a busy colourful and vibrant city situated in stunning countryside. Regarding city vs country, Bristol offers the best of both worlds.
Voted Britain’s happiest city, and the best place to live outside of London for the under 26’s, there are over 40,000 students at its two universities who make up nearly 10% of the overall population. This constant influx of young people helps to keep Bristol’s vibe young and fresh.
For arts and culture, Bristol has a reputation for its many cutting-edge underground music and street art scenes, as well as the strong links between local art and political activism. The city’s many cultural exports have had a far-reaching impact, with artists and musicians like Banksy and Massive Attack bringing the Bristol underground scene to a global audience. Add to that local art galleries and exhibitions, vibrant and new theatre and live music venues and you can see that Bristol is a magnet for inventive, curious and creative people.
Bristol also has a rich history, and those who visit can hear the stories of its past by visiting its churches, museums, art galleries and historic buildings and landmarks. Visit Bristol’s historic waterfront to learn about Bristol’s maritime history. Whilst there, please take a look at SS Great Britain, a floating museum that attracts more than 150,000 visitors every year (it’s also a unique Bristol wedding venue and one of the favourite places to capture wedding photography in Bristol)
If you’re a foodie then Bristol is the city for you. I love the award-winning St Nicholas Market next to the Bristol Register Office. This maze of quirky stalls, street food and historic architecture has been trading as a market since 1743. It is home to Bristol’s largest collection of independent retailers, many of whom sell food inspired by cultures from all over the world. When I capture wedding photography in Bristol, I love taking my couples for a romantic photoshoot around St Nicholas Market. The buzz of the market makes an amazing backdrop. It’s also a fantastic location for an Engagement Photoshoot.
Amazing food can also be found in Bristol’s numerous independent cafes and restaurants. Many have an ethical farm-to-fork approach to sourcing sustainable and local food in season. Bristol is also very proud to have been voted the world’s vegan capital.
Bristol can be divided into distinctive areas that offer something for everyone. The centre and the Old City of Bristol are the city’s heart, offering a superb taste of culture, food, history and fantastic shopping opportunities. The Old City includes Park Street, College Green and the Christmas Steps Arts Quarter. This area includes two of my favourite Bristol wedding venues The Mount Without and the brand-new wedding venue Armada House.

Upmarket Clifton boasts stunning Georgian architecture, and grand University buildings, one of which doubles up as the impressive wedding venue Goldney Hall. Clifton has the most upmarket and chic shops and eateries as well as the city’s famous suspension bridge. Home to another of my favourite Bristol wedding venues The Clifton Observatory sits right next to The Clifton Suspension Bridge and is one of Bristol’s most recognisable landmarks.
Quirky and bohemian Gloucester Road looks more like an outdoor gallery with colourful graffiti that continually transforms its walls and buildings. It’s brimming with independent cafes, bookshops, vintage stores and bars. On a trip to Gloucester Road, keep your eyes peeled for some of Banksy’s best-known pieces and your ears open for live music streaming onto the streets.
A little further out of the city, there are some simply stunning wedding venues. My favourites include the grand country manor house, Coombe Lodge. The majestic Thornbury Castle (who doesn’t love a castle wedding) and the rustic and idyllic Folly Farm
Being a Bristol wedding photographer leaves me conveniently placed to capture weddings in Bath, Somerset, Wiltshire, The Cotswolds, South Wales and Devon. The nearby M4 and M5 motorways give me easy access to quickly get to many venues in the South West and beyond.
So, if you’re thinking of having your wedding in or around the magnificent city of Bristol and looking for an experienced Bristol wedding photographer to capture your day with beautiful storytelling images feel free to get in touch.
