As a busy Wiltshire wedding photographer, I get to work at the finest wedding venues in the
county. And this is certainly the case when I return to capture wedding photography at
Ashley Wood Farm. Hanna and Callum chose the perfect venue for their summer wedding in
Wiltshire.
Ashley Wood Farm is an idyllic farm and barn wedding venue situated on 10,000 acres of
parkland overlooking Fonthill Lake. One of the many reasons I love being an Ashley Wood Farm wedding photographer is that it has beautiful gardens, a pretty courtyard and stunning
lake views. All of which make stunning backdrops in wedding photos. I am so thrilled to be
a recommended supplier for this simply stunning Wiltshire wedding venue.
On the day, I headed there early so I could capture those all-important mornings of the
wedding images. I caught up with Callum and his groom’s party who were getting ready
close by. Callum looked very smart in a petrol-blue suit and tie and I got some great images
of him and his grooms party making the short walk to the farm.

I then caught up with Hanna and her bridal party who were all getting ready in Ashley Wood
Farm’s pretty Fisherman’s Cottage. As you would imagine, the atmosphere was fizzing.
Hanna looked stunning in a body-skimming Enzoani dress with beautiful lace detail and a fishtail skirt that kicked out giving her an amazing silhouette.
Her hair and make-up were immaculate courtesy of Holly Preston.
Hanna complemented her look with a gorgeous bouquet created by Pollen and Posy
who did all of the flowers on the day (they looked amazing).
Before heading to the ceremony, I captured a very sweet father seeing the bride moment as
well as some lovely images of the bridal party, with Hanna’s bridesmaids looking elegant in
soft pink dresses. There was also a very sweet flower girl who performed her duties
perfectly.
The wedding ceremony was held outside in Ashley Wood Farm’s pretty courtyard, just
outside their beautiful oak-floored barn. The ceremony was lovely, a real celebration that
culminated in Hanna and Callum walking back down the aisle as a married couple to cheers
from everybody. This was followed by a fun confetti moment that I captured perfectly.

Everybody then enjoyed a drinks reception outside enjoying the sunshine, and I got some
great images of the wedding party. With guests happily catered for, I was able to whisk
Hanna and Callum away for a few minutes for a mini photoshoot around the gardens and got
some amazing images.
The wedding breakfast was held in the barn which looked amazing all dressed and ready to go.
Guests were seated first so that Hanna and Callum could be rapturously received at their
entrance. Speeches were before food which is always a good idea and were very well
received by everybody. Callum’s best man was unable to be there in person, so a lifesize
cardboard cut out of him was presented to Hanna and Callum whilst everybody listened to his
pre-recorded speech.
After the meal, one of the bridesmaids led a music bingo game which turned into an
impromptu karaoke party. It was a great hit with the guests.
As everybody happily milled about enjoying exclusive use of Ashley Wood Farm, I
borrowed Hanna and Callum again for a few minutes for a little walk and photoshoot around
the farm. The images I got were amongst my favourites of the day. This brings me neatly to another reason why I love being an Ashley Wood Farm wedding photographer, and that is because the golden hour light on the farm is exquisite.

Storytelling Ashley Wood Farm wedding photography
Evening celebrations took place in the barn and started with the cutting of the most fantastic
and colourful four-tiered wedding cake made by Hanna’s very talented nephew and niece.
Followed by a romantic first dance for Hanna and Callum.
Not that they were on the dancefloor alone for long. Their guests were up for a party and with the band Agent Funk offering up a never-ending supply of funk and soul hits, it wasn’t long before shapes were being cut all over the place. And I took the chance to get some really fun dancefloor images.
Later, there was a break in the dancing for sparklers, I love sparklers at weddings, they bring
some fun at a time in the day when you think all the surprises are over and they make for
amazing wedding photos. And it was the image of Hanna and Callum embracing with their
loved ones all around them with sparklers that felt like the perfect image to close the story of
their amazing day.
A fun, family-friendly full of love and laughter at a simply stunning Wiltshire wedding venue.
Congratulations to Hanna and Callum for getting married and creating such an amazing day
for yourselves, your family and your friends to remember. I hope my images will allow you
to relive it again and again for many years to come.

“We loved reliving our day and seeing so many moments we didn’t know had happened or ones we had forgotten.
Hanna & Callum
We very quickly forgot we were with a stranger who we’d paid to take our photos and instead felt like we were spending our time with an old friend. Martin is so full of energy and a truly fantastic photographer.
