I love my job as a Bath wedding photographer, especially when I get to capture wedding
photography at the Bath Guildhall Register Office wedding photography. There’s something romantic about city
weddings. Especially when it is held in a stately Grade-I listed Georgian and Victorian
building located in the centre of the historical and beautiful city of Bath.
Bath Guildhall Register Office is located close to the beautifully maintained Parade Gardens
overlooking the River Avon. When you book a Bath Guildhall wedding, the gardens are
made available to you too and make the perfect location for an elegant drinks reception and
a romantic photoshoot.
There are several amazing ceremony rooms to choose from allowing Bath Guildhall to cater
for different sizes and styles of wedding ceremonies. Very few wedding venues in Bath can
cater for romantic elopements for two right through to large lavish celebrations for 360 guests
and everything you can imagine in between.
There’s also a stunning feature staircase ideal for photos or for making a dramatic entrance.

The largest of the rooms is The Banqueting Room which can seat up to 360 guests and is ideal
for large, Asian and African weddings. It is a highly decorated room with ornate gilding,
historic paintings and soaring ceilings with crystal chandeliers. Adjoining The Banqueting
Room is the Aix en Provence Room which is a smaller space perfect for a drinks reception
before a seated wedding breakfast in the Banqueting Room. It is also ideal for use as a bar
for evening celebrations for those looking to take a break from the dancefloor.
The Alkmaar Room has a striking red floor and lots of warm wood. It can seat up to 118
guests. Its opulent interiors and wood panelling make it ideal for wedding ceremonies.
For more intimate weddings, The Jane Austen Room is perfect. Its fireplace and patterned
wallpaper give it an opulent yet cosy ambience and it can accommodate up to 19 guests.
Meaning that you don’t have to sacrifice elegance and refinement just because you are having
a small wedding.
The Georgian Room is part of the original Guildhall building designed by Thomas Baldwin
and completed in 1778. It is decorated with warm golden tones and lit with natural light from
the large period windows. It can accommodate up to 43 seated guests and 50 standing.
