As an experienced Somerset wedding photographer, I am lucky enough to frequently shoot Brympton House wedding photography. Described by Country Life magazine as the most beautiful house in England, historically rich Brympton House, also known as Brympton d’Evercy, is set amidst 33 acres of gardens and lakes in the beautiful Somerset countryside, just a few miles from Yeovil.
There are so many reasons why I love returning to be a Brympton House wedding photographer but one of the main ones is that each part of the wedding day takes place in a different location within Brympton Estate. This gives me a stunning and constantly changing backdrop when photographing my brides, grooms and their guests.
Whether it’s getting images of the bride and her bridal party getting ready in Brympton House’s elegant bridal suite, capturing guests before the ceremony taking a drink in the beautiful library bar and snooker room, or the ceremony itself which can be held in the ancient 750-year-old Castle House, outside under the temple on the South Terrace or in the stunning estate church St Andrews.
I also love taking mages of guests enjoying a drinks reception in the gardens and on the terrace, and the team at Brympton House gives every wedding exclusive use so guests can relax and explore this amazing wedding venue.
Then there are the endless opportunities for romantic images of the bride and groom set around the majestic gardens and grounds of Brympton House. There are three spaces for the wedding breakfast ranging from the Grand Ballroom overlooking the lake that can seat up to 228 guests to more intimate candlelit the State Dining Room for weddings as small as 50 guests, which is a popular choice for Winter weddings.
And when it comes to the evening reception Brympton House’s party barn (The Old Stables) is a fantastic space for a celebration. With its fairy lights, velvet chesterfields and marble-topped bars it is a stylish and luxurious barn where everybody can let their hair down and party!
