In the English Channel, sitting just off the coast of France are The Channel Islands.  These British, proudly independent islands are not quite Britain and not quite France.  In fact, they seem to enjoy being the very best of both.

Springtime arrives around four weeks earlier in the Channel Islands than on mainland UK.  They also enjoy more than 2000 hours of sunshine each year.  This makes the Channel Islands the sunniest place in the British Isles.
