JERSEY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

In the English Channel, sitting just off the coast of France are The Channel Islands.  These British, proudly independent islands are not quite Britain and not quite France.  In fact, they seem to enjoy being the very best of both.

Springtime arrives around four weeks earlier in the Channel Islands than on mainland UK.  They also enjoy more than 2000 hours of sunshine each year.  This makes the Channel Islands the sunniest place in the British Isles. So, it goes without saying! A Mediterranean climate and stunning beaches and coastline make the Channel Islands an excellent location for a wedding.

The largest of the Channel Islands is Jersey though it is just 47 square miles.  Packed into this space are some fantastic beaches, cliff trails, pretty ports and of course fabulous wedding venues. Everything from castles to vineyards to luxury hotels.  The islands marriage laws make it easy for you to get married.  And, if your chosen wedding location doesn’t hold a wedding license, you can apply for it to have one.

Every Jersey wedding photographer loves shooting wedding photography at L’Horizon Beach Hotel and Spa.  This stunning Victorian built hotel in beautiful St Brelade’s Bay (voted as one of the top three UK beaches) is a fantastic wedding venue. Its terrace has unrivalled and breath-taking views of the beach.  The interiors are elegant, stylish, spacious and most importantly flooded with natural light.

Us Jersey wedding photographers also love shooting wedding photography at The Botanic Gardens at Samares Manor.  Jersey’s Mediterranean climate means that its botanical gardens are quite spectacular. And the gardens at Samares Manor are certainly the most fascinating and beautiful gardens in Jersey.

When it comes to taking beautiful images, these gardens are a Jersey wedding photographers dream. The historically rich manor house provides beautiful inside space and the venue offer a marquee that allows weddings for up to 300 guests.

GUERNSEY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Guernsey is famous for its beach resorts and coastal cliffs.  On the North West of the island is its capital St Peter Port.  Its colourful displays of flowers and bunting and steep cobbled streets make a dream background for any Guernsey wedding photographer.  This charming port is overlooked by the 800-year old Castle Cornet.  A harbour fortification that serves as a reminder of this islands fascinating history.

The most prestigious Guernsey wedding venue is The Old Government House Hotel & Spa.  Situated in St Peter’s Port it is the only five-star hotel in Guernsey.  Its private patio, picturesque walled gardens and panoramic sea views make shooting wedding photography at The Old Government House Hotel & Spa a joy.

Another wedding venue is The Venue at Fermain Valley Hotel.  This four-star luxury boutique hotel sits in the hills overlooking Fermain Bay.  Award-winning gardens offer lots of photographic opportunities.  They even offer a courtesy bus to take brides, grooms and their Guernsey wedding photographer down to the bay. Allowing them to capture some romantic photographs on the beach.

My last wedding venue is The St Pierre Park Hotel, part of the famous Handpicked Hotels group. The largest hotel on the island it has a fantastic golf course and state of the art leisure facilities.  It also boasts great views of St Peter’s Port.  The perfect location for your wedding guests to enjoy an extended stay.
