You don’t care about worrying about the little things that don’t matter or ugly chair covers – you just want to have an AMAZING TIME with your friends and family. I always feel so privileged to be an Oxfordshire wedding photographer. The beautiful Cotswold towns and villages, the stunning river locations and of course the historically rich city of Oxford means that it is home to countless beautiful wedding venues and locations. As well as the city of Oxford, other centres of population in the county are Banbury, Bicester, Witney, Didcot, & Abingdon-on-Thames. Oxfordshire boasts three Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty: the Cotswolds, the open chalk hills of the North Wessex Downs and the wooded hills of the Chilterns.

Oxfordshire’s jewel in the crown is, of course, the world-famous and ancient city of Oxford. It has 38 independent colleges in the city centre along with a host of museums, libraries and a castle.

The world-famous Bodleian Library offers up some of its grandest rooms for civil ceremonies and wedding receptions. Jaw-droppingly romantic and elegant, Bodleian Library is the perfect Oxford wedding venue. When I shoot wedding photography at Bodleian Library I always love the grand and unique rooms.

The Cotswolds sits partly in Oxfordshire and has been designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty. It has some spectacular wedding venues like Caswell House. This 15th-century honey-coloured manor house has medieval barns, a secluded walled garden, a moat and an orchard. What I love best about shooting wedding photography at Caswell House is that it has a dream-like romantic vibe.

Another Cotswold wedding venue is Cornwell Manor. A 2000-acre estate with a Jacobean manor house that has a lovely Georgian façade and is situated in a stunning area of the untouched English countryside. When I shoot wedding photography at Cornwell Manor, I love their beautiful barns with flagstone floors and authentic oak beams adorned with fairy lights. They are a perfect blend of rustic, fairy-tale and cosy.

Without a doubt, the grandest wedding venue in Oxfordshire is Blenheim Palace. Set in 2000 acres of parkland, woodland and award-winning formal gardens. Blenheim Palace has 18th-century baroque architecture and offers six different venue options for weddings. When I shoot wedding photography at Blenheim Palace I especially love the orangery.

Lastly, I want to mention Eynsham Hall. A Jacobean Grade II listed house set in 3,000 acres of Oxfordshire parkland. Eynsham Hall describes themselves as ‘situated in an oasis of tranquillity’ and I have to say I agree. When I shoot wedding photography at Eynsham Hall I always love the light, which is an essential ingredient for stunning Oxfordshire wedding photography.  It gives me so much to play with when creating beautiful images of brides, grooms and their guests.

So, if you’re currently planning your wedding you should take a look at Oxfordshire. With such stunning countryside, a world-famous city and the beautiful Cotswold you are spoilt for choice. Once you have chosen, you’ll be looking for an Oxfordshire wedding photographer. Feel free to get in touch. I’d love to hear about your wedding plans.
