As a busy Wales wedding photographer, I get to work at some amazing wedding venues, and
this is certainly the case when I return to work as Plas Dinam wedding photographer.
Situated in the unspoiled natural beauty and tranquil landscapes of central Wales, Plas Dinam
is a magnificent country house built in the late 19th -century, that sits on 13 acres of beautiful
scenic gardens with spectacular views across the Severn Valley.
Licensed to host civil ceremonies both indoors and outside, Plas Dinam can cater for
weddings from the most intimate for 2 up to celebrations for up to 160 guests. For indoor
ceremonies, you can choose from their elegant drawing room which can accommodate up to
80 guests. Their Great Hall has period features of stripped wood floors and elegant
wood panelling and plasterwork on the ceiling. For wedding ceremonies, the Great Hall can
accommodate up to 120 seated guests.
The largest space licensed for wedding ceremonies is The Old Stables, these Victorian
stables have a glass-roofed courtyard connecting them. This Victorian Orangery has an
industrial style and perfectly blends the very best of indoor and outdoor spaces. It can
accommodate up to 160 seated guests for a wedding ceremony.
The team at Plas Dinam are delighted to be able to offer lots of outdoor wedding ceremony
locations for those who want to be able to soak up the unrivalled views that surround Plas
Dinam whilst exchanging vows. You can choose from the archway over the front entrance,
the lawn looking out to the mountains, an enchanting woodland clearing or under an ancient
oak tree. It is your wedding done your way!
Drinks receptions take place outside where you and your guests can enjoy the colourful
blooms and greenery of the gardens. There are endless views over the hills and wildflower
meadows. The large sitting room and drawing rooms offer beautiful, warm and comfortable
indoor options for elegant drink receptions for winter weddings or for when the weather is
not kind.
When I capture wedding photography at Plas Dinam, I love whisking my couples away for
mini shoot around the gardens and grounds of Plas Dinam, where I can get some romantic
portrait images of them set against the stunning natural backdrop.
Wedding breakfasts are usually held in the Stables glass-roofed courtyard that looks amazing

When it comes to food, Plas Dinam offers you a choice of recommended caterers who will
create a bespoke and mouth-watering menu for you to enjoy with your guests. And they don’t
charge corkage so you also get to choose your champagne and wine.
Talking of drinks, the bar area has been created out of the tack room using original
floorboards at Plas Dinam. The bar offers a great range of drinks including beers from local
breweries and popular cocktails, served by their friendly bar staff.
As day turns to evening, the magical setting of the stables comes to life. With a
license for live music, an oak board dancefloor, and state-of-the-art designer lighting. You
have everything you need for an epic party. Add to that a photo booth, chill-out areas and an
outdoor fire pit for your party to spill out into the gardens on warm summer nights. Making
your wedding celebration will be one to remember.
For intimate and winter weddings, you can have your ceremony and celebrations in the
house. Elegant yet cosy, you will have the run of your house for a wedding that allows you to
claim the house as your own for the weekend and create a wedding precisely to your
specifications.

When it comes to guest accommodation, there are 15 beautifully appointed bedrooms; all are
toasty warm with period features and sumptuous interiors. Combined they provide
accommodation for up to 34 guests.
The helpful team at Plas Dinam pride themselves on helping you to plan and organise your
day to your vision. They support you through the planning process and are there on the day
to ensure everything goes smoothly. Honestly, nothing is ever too much trouble for these
guys.
