Polhawn Fort is a luxurious venue located on the Rame Peninsula (South Coast of Cornwall and just across the water from Plymouth), an area of outstanding natural beauty. This extraordinary Napoleonic fort is stand-alone and is perfect if you are looking for a unique location with breathtaking views. The building looks out across miles of ocean; across the rugged crags and folds of the Cornish coastline that curl into the distance as far as the Lizard peninsula.

The Guardian of Whitsand Bay since 1867, Polhawn Fort is a unique, exclusive venue that has been used for all types of weddings for over 20 years.

Polhawn Fort has its private grounds and was awarded the ‘UK’s Best Coastal Venue’ in the UK Wedding Awards 2016 and more recently voted ‘The Most Romantic Wedding Venue in the UK’.

Ceremonies may take place in the enchanting setting of the Grand Napoleonic Hall before up to 120 people; if you’re planning a smaller ceremony, the Emperor’s Room offers the same ambience on a more intimate scale for up to 30 guests. Why not opt for an outside wedding where you can tie the knot in their stunning Summerhouse and take advantage of the amazing seaside views?

If you had your heart set on a marquee for your reception then you are in luck! The lower lawn provides the perfect setting for a stunning marquee overlooking the majestic Whitsand Bay.

What I like the most about providing Polhawn Fort wedding photography is the fact that when you book the venue you will have the exclusive use of the venue and the grounds as well as the use of Polhawn Cove, their private beach!
