There are so many reasons why I love being a St Audries Park wedding photographer. St Audries Park is a highly successful, Grade II-listed wedding venue set in 100 acres of peaceful deer parkland.
Ideally placed in the village of West Quantoxhead – at the foot of the Quantock Hills, St Audries Park boasts dramatic views of the Somerset coast. With the soft coastal sands, waterfall and ornamental rock cave of St. Audries Bay just down the road, there can be few more idyllically-located wedding venues in the South West.
Conveniently located for travelling guests, this venue is very close to Bristol, Exeter and Taunton and has easy links to many areas in the South West. It is only 15 minutes from the M5.
Furthermore, St Audries Park has a long history reaching back a thousand years to pre-Domesday times. The current St Audries House is thought to have been remodelled and modified to its present condition during the 18th and 19th centuries. In 2002 St Audries was purchased by the renowned ‘Country House Wedding’ group. This family-owned and family-run wedding venue business currently owns and operates several other stunning wedding venues across the U.K. (including Clearwell Castle in Gloucestershire).
St. Audries Park is an exclusive wedding venue, which means that whenever couples hire it for their special celebration, the whole of the house is entirely at their disposal. The venue offers a range of beautiful and elegant reception rooms for your wedding day.
The most popular choice for the ceremony is the stunning Victorian Orangery. This bright, airy ceremony room is bathed in natural light throughout the year. It is the perfect space for St Audrie’s Park wedding photography; especially if you are planning a winter wedding.
The Drawing room is St Audries Park’s second ceremony space; which can be found within the main house itself and presents a somewhat more formal environment than the Orangery. Also, there is the ‘Banqueting Hall’, a lengthy and finely-decorated hall – perfect for formal receptions. It can hold up to 130 seated guests for such an event. As the entire house and grounds are exclusively yours, you can also invite up to 250 guests for the evening wedding reception and party.

Alternatively, if you have your heart set on a church service, there is the possibility of a Church of England marriage service in St.Ethel Dreda Chapel. This lovely, Grade II, little late Tudor church is located just one minute up the drive from St Audries Park.
St. Audries Park offers various accommodations within the many acres of grounds, and can sleep over 100 guests! Starting from 22 luxurious bedrooms available within the house, including an incredible bridal suite. Then there is Peregrine House (a perfect space for the groom to get ready in), Holly Cottage and Windsor House.
What I like the most about doing St Audries Park wedding photography is the professional team, the picturesque grounds and the proximity to the beach. No wonder St. Audries was voted ‘Best Coastal Wedding Venue 2019’ at the British Wedding Awards.
So if you are getting married in this award-winning Somerset venue, congratulations, you are in safe hands. Please get in touch if you would like the same care and attention from your St Audries Park wedding photographer.
