Dartington Hall wedding photography

Victoria and Lawrence’s Dartington Hall wedding had an autumn theme using the best of the season to decorate this stunning medieval venue.

Dartington Hall is the largest medieval house in the West of England and possibly one of the most romantic wedding venues in Devon. It is a perfect combination of being really grand and striking but also rustic and relaxed, allowing the couple to put their personal touches to it. Dartington wedding venue is also a social enterprise and a lot of money made from weddings is put back into the community!

Vicky and Larry decided on November wedding as they loved the idea of cosy log fires and autumnal colours. The theme of the wedding was all things rustic and autumnal – lots of dried leaves, pine cones, ivy, burnt oranges, candles, etc

Also as the couple run a brewery it would have been silly not to provide their own Red Ink Brewing beer at the wedding. It was a great hit and even Dartington Hall on-site pub was serving their tasty beer to their customers long after their wedding.

The bride and groom wanted to personalize the ceremony as much as possible and make it really fun. They had four great readings, some of which were tailored especially for them!

The guitarist Tommy C was amazing adds on to the ceremony. He played during the signing of the register and got everyone singing, and even dancing, during the ceremony. After wedding breakfast, cutting the five-tier Devonshire cheesecake and touching speeches we had some time for some evening portraits, which is a must at such a striking venue! The couple started the evening party with their first dance played by Plastic Pantomime. The wedding band rocked and kept all the guests constantly on the dancefloor. Thumbs up!
