If saying I do barefoot in the sand is for you then you can get legally married in a registry office before and then have your ceremony on the beach.

Wedding photography at Dartmoor National Park
The vast moorlands of Dartmoor with its free-roaming ponies, craggy landscapes, forest, rivers, wetlands and tors have entranced people for centuries. This historically rich, wild and magical area was the inspiration behind Arthur Conan Doyle’s most famous Sherlock Holmes book ‘The Hound of the Baskervilles’. So, it’s no wonder that since 1951 it has been designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. Set against the backdrops of awe-inspiring granite tors there are some beautiful wedding venues. Those wild ponies have been known to make an appearance in the backdrop of wedding photographs.
