Sandy Cove Hotel is fully licensed for wedding ceremonies and you can choose to have an outdoor or an indoor ceremony. With a capacity for up to 170 guests for a wedding breakfast and up to 200 guests for an evening celebration.
For outdoor ceremonies, you can say your vows overlooking the sea. Your guests are seated on the manicured lawn facing the sea in an amphitheatre style, with an aisle down the middle that leads you towards a pretty gazebo where you say your vows. The licensed gazebo has a stunning skywalk platform wrapped in glass. The perfect place to enjoy a glass of champagne and for a romantic couple’s portrait after your ceremony.
For indoor weddings, Sandy Cove Hotel offer its Seascape ceremony room. This modern contemporary space has state-of-the-art lighting with a colour wheel so you can tailor the lighting to fit with your colour scheme. The ceiling has panels with fibre optic lights giving the effect of twinkling stars. There is also an integrated sound system and the room is fully air-conditioned. Bi-fold doors across the full front of the room offer amazing sea views and bring the outside in. There is also a large deck area that runs the length of the building allowing your guests to soak up the sunshine and the magnificent sea views. The perfect place for an elegant drinks reception.
When I capture wedding photography at Sandy Cove Hotel, I love the way the clever contemporary design works around the views with ceiling-to-floor glass to seamlessly blend indoor and outdoor spaces. When I capture wedding photography at Sandy Cove Hotel, my couples often want to go to the beach for a Sunset photo shoot where we can get some unique and romantic images. I love this time of day at coastal weddings when my couples get to step away from the celebrations and enjoy a stroll hand in hand along the beach. It’s a chance for me to get some amazing portrait images and my couples often comment afterwards that it was their favourite part of their wedding day. There is a choice of two picturesque beaches which are only 5 minutes drive from the. venue: Coombe Martin Beach & Watermouth Cove Beach.
