As a recommended Priston Mill wedding photographer I frequently get booked to shoot wedding photography at Priston Mill and returning to this amazing wedding venue is always a pleasure.
Located in rural Somerset near Bath, Priston Mill is an ancient watermill and Tythe Barn that make the most idyllic wedding venues for both receptions and civil ceremonies. If you’re looking for an elegant venue, rich in history and character then look no further. The mix of historic character and modern luxury blend seamlessly in this award-winning venue.
One of the many things I love about shooting Priston Mill wedding photography is the different ways you can choose to be married there.

For larger indoor ceremonies you can choose the stunning 17th century stone-walled Tythe Barn which is licensed for up to 150 guests. When you step through the archway towards the Barn you are instantly immersed in its serene and picturesque setting surrounded on three sides by ancient stone-walled buildings.
On first glimpse of the barn itself, the magnificent oak-beamed rafters and the 15-metre high vaulted roof will take your breath away. It is one of the most stunning wedding venues in Bath. One of my favourite features of the Tythe Barn is the long aisle which gives a wonderfully striking entrance for the bride.
Experienced Priston Mill Wedding Photographer

The charming watermill which was given by King Athelstan to the monks of Bath Abbey in the 10th century is perfect for more intimate wedding ceremonies and is licensed for up to 90 guests. This enchanting, unique and ancient building is steeped in history.
The ceremony is held on the main floor which makes for an interesting backdrop in my images. The Watermill also offers views across the gardens and millponds. The middle floor of the mill is the perfect space for reception drinks or taking a comfy seat after the wedding breakfast. Evening celebrations happen on the main floor and spill out onto the wooden terrace. Where the gardens are magically lit at night seamlessly blending the indoor and outdoor space.

On finer days, outdoor ceremonies can be held under the oak pagoda in the beautiful watermill garden for up to 90 guests.
But it’s not just the beauty of the venue that makes Priston Mill a firm favourite with me, it’s also the team. The event managers and catering team are so excellent at what they do that if you book Priston Mill for your wedding you have the peace of mind of knowing that you are in safe and experienced hands. It’s worth mentioning that the same values were carried forward to Priston Mill’s sister venues: Coombe Lodge near Bristol and Rockbeare Manor down in Devon.
So if you’re planning your Priston Mill wedding and are looking for an experienced Priston Mill wedding photographer then get in touch.
