Priston Watermill Wedding Photography
Sarah & Tristan’s wedding at Priston Mill near Bath was stunning and I felt honoured to be selected to handle their Priston Watermill Wedding Photography – a gorgeous dress, many bridesmaids in shades of red, beautiful flowers, a romantic church ceremony and all the sunshine anyone could wish for on their wedding day!
The couple found me on Priston Mill’s recommended supplier list. The bride’s dad, who is also a photographer, helped Sarah to pick a Somerset wedding photographer for her day. No pressure :)
I started that morning at Chelwood House where Sarah and her bridesmaids were getting ready. The atmosphere was fairly calm and relaxed. Sarah’s unique bridal dress was supplied by The White Room. Rebecca Green Bridal did her make-up and the stunning flowers were supplied by Emma Norton.
Sarah’s Dad looked so proud of her when he saw how utterly stunning she looked as a Bride. It was such a beautiful father-daughter moment.
Priston Church Wedding
The couple decided to hold their ceremony at the stunning medieval church of St Luke and St Andrew in Priston village which is also known simply as Priston church. It was my first Priston church wedding and I hope to photograph more wedding ceremonies in this lovely church soon.
After the ceremony, the reception took place at The Watermill at Priston Mill. The lovely thing about the Watermill is that you can opt for an outdoor drinks reception should you be graced with fine weather on your special day – so this is exactly what they did.
A few tear-jerking moments during the speeches produced some great shots for me before the guests relaxed fully. After the speeches, we headed off to a nearby field for some couple portraits in the field nearby before heading back to the venue. In Summertime I always do the main photo session after speeches when the couple (especially groom) is more relaxed and the light is much softer and pleasing.
Lounge Cat Ideals provided great gypsy-swing-like music and the dance floor was full in no time. Amazing!
“We spent a long time looking for photographers for our wedding (my Dad is a photographer and so was fairly fussy about this aspect of the wedding!). We were so happy to have chosen Martin, not only because his photography skills are fantastic but also because he is organised and great to work with on the day. Capturing all good bits and sentiment of the day without over-imposing or taking up too much of the day with photos. We are happy with our photos as are all our guests. A beautiful momentum of the day. Would recommend him to everyone.”
