RELAXED BRYMPTON HOUSE WEDDING
“WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE OUR WEDDING SHOTS FROM MARTIN. HE CAPTURED THEM EXACTLY AS WE HAD HOPED AND ENJOYED HAVING HIM THERE AS PART OF OUR SPECIAL DAY.” – Meg & Jack
Meg and Jack got married in summer at the gorgeous Brympton house, which is a quirky country house near Yeovil (Somerset). It was such a fun day and the sun shone all day long!
The excitement before the wedding
Meg and Jack got ready at Brympton House, and the atmosphere was so relaxed. The couple read the cards that they wrote to each other. Funny enough they picked the same card! It was obvious to me that they were a perfect match.
The Brympton Church wedding ceremony
The ceremony was held in St Andrew’s church next to the house. I photographed numerous Brympton House weddings before at every time of the year however never had a chance to photograph the Brympton church wedding ceremony in this atmospheric and romantic church. I was looking forward to it. The church was beautifully decorated by the Brympton stylist team. During the ceremony, they had several beautiful readings from friends and family. It was such a personal and emotional service.
The reception
The couple chose Brympton House because it has so many options and they could personalise it. One of them was guests’ accommodation in bell tents which were dotted around the lake and walled garden. It was something that I had never experienced as a Brympton House wedding photographer before. I love shooting at this unique Somerset venue because the grounds are completely stunning and I like the fact that each part of the day takes place in a different location.
The first dance was a romantic slow dance followed by the bride’s parents’ surprise dance – it was brilliant fun!
The most memorable part of the day was cutting their cake or smashing pinata cake – it made everyone laugh and also Jack could show off his martial arts skills at the same time!
The Couple
I met Meg & Jack 18 months before their wedding at Brympton House open day. They said they wanted a relaxed photographer, and I liked that they seemed so much fun and relaxed too!
Meg and Jack’s wedding had such a fun atmosphere and everything I love about weddings. Here’s their Relaxed Brympton House wedding!
