“Throughout the day Martin worked tirelessly and was always looking for different shots. He was just fantastic and words cannot describe how grateful and thankful we are that we booked him for our wedding”
Izzy and Tom got married in December at the Grand Tortworth Court, which is a beautiful venue north of Bristol.
The ceremony and the reception were held at the orangery which is a perfect venue for winter weddings. During the day the light in there is just perfect and in the evening it looks cosy inside and when you dance you can look at the sky above you!
Tortworth Court Winter Wedding Photography
The couple says that if you’re planning your wedding, the biggest piece of advice they could give is:
Find yourself a photographer you feel comfortable with. We had heard such horror stories about pictures not turning out well! At various wedding fairs we spoke to a variety of photographers and none of them made me (Izzy) feel at ease. When we met Martin I knew he was the guy! He was perfect and made us feel so comfortable, it was a complete weight of our minds to know that had been sorted.
Give yourself enough time to plan. We had two years from our engagement to when we got married. It meant that we were able to plan through everything meticulously and we got the day we wanted.
Don’t scrimp and save on the things that mean the most to you. For everyone it’s different, but for us, we are only doing this once and we want it all to be perfect.
What made you choose your venue?
Well, Tortworth Court was the first hotel we had ever stayed in as a couple. When we got engaged Tom said what about Tortworth, we visited a couple of other venues but none lived up to Tortworth Court. The orangery was the perfect setting for our day! It was everything we wanted and we’re so glad we chose it! Our wedding was also featured on The English Wedding Blog!
