Outdoor Priston Mill wedding

If you love countryside weddings then you’ll love this Outdoor Priston Mill wedding!
Jade and Nigel got married at the awesome Priston Mill, Somerset, in the summer. It was a stunning outdoor wedding, with so much colour everywhere and gorgeous weather.
“Martin photographed our outdoor wedding at Priston Mill in late August this year. From the moment we first met with him to the moment he handed over our album everything was faultless. He was recommended to us by some friends whose weddings he had already done. After doing our wedding we recommended Martin to some more of our friends who have booked him for their weddings. If you want minimal fuss, professionalism and great pictures then Martin is your man. Cannot recommend highly enough.” – Jade & Nigel
The excitement before the wedding
Jade got ready at beautiful Conygre House with their bridesmaids and parents, and there was such an exciting vibe. It was great to see and work again with so many familiar wedding suppliers. Interestingly enough the maid of honour is a very talented singer who sang at the wedding in Matara that I photographed the year before! Jade wore a stunning dress and looked so incredible (just check the pictures below). The girls then jumped into a fancy wedding car to get to the ceremony.
Nigel got ready at his place in Bristol and arrived with his groomsmen in Aston Martin. I’m not into the cars like groom is however I must say the car looked very impressive!
The outdoor ceremony
The ceremony took place in the garden next to The Watermill. The place was surrounded by fields, which was so gorgeous because it was such a perfect day. The ceremony began with everyone singing the couple’s favourite song, and finished with them walking down the aisle and being showered with colourful confetti by ballerinas! It was a moving ceremony, full of nervous giggles and so much love. I never forget the moment when cows from the field gathered near the fence to watch the ceremony once the guests started to sing. Brilliant!
After the ceremony, I left the couple to mingle, which was the perfect time for me to get candid photos. Then we did some group and couple portraits, which was so much fun.
The reception
Jade and Nigel chose to have their wedding at Priston Mill on Thursday because they could have two not only one but two stunning venues exclusively for themselves! Priston Mill has such a rustic vibe and is an especially great venue for Summer and outdoor weddings. For the reception, which took place at The Tythe Barn, the couple prepared a Singing Waiters as a surprise for their guests and they loved it!
The evening
After the speeches, we went to the fields nearby to take some pictures, the Sun was setting and the light was gorgeous
One of the most memorable parts of the wedding was the first dance because it was just very well executed and it was one of the best I have ever seen. Jade is a ballet teacher, so everybody expected something special and the couple didn’t disappoint. The wedding cake made by the groom’s mum was also a talking point of the wedding – it was in the shape of The Clifton Suspension Bridge and it was pretty unique.
I loved this Outdoor Priston Mill wedding so much. If you’re getting married and looking for a Somerset wedding photographer, get in touch.

Wow, I’m sure Jade & Nigel are stoked with those images, what a venue, what a cake. I’m not sure if the Splits during the 1st dance or the congregation of cows watching the ceremony is the most impressive part of the day. Looked like alot of fun.
Thanks Andrew, yes the cows during the ceremony were brilliant, not to mention first dance!
