Top 5 Cotswolds Wedding Venues

The Cotswolds is one of the most beautiful areas in the UK to get married. The Cotswolds covers a huge area and runs through five counties (mainly Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire and parts of Wiltshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire). It’s also the largest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in England, stretching south-west from just south of Stratford-upon-Avon to just south of Bath.

Cotswold wedding venues of all shapes and sizes can be found in this area of outstanding natural beauty, all easily accessible from London and Birmingham. Here I would like to list five of my favourite Cotswold wedding venues.

Matara Center near Tetbury

I love shooting wedding photography at Matara. It is my favourite Cotswold wedding venue. Matara boasts itself as being traditionally unconventional. A Grade II Regency House, the hilarious building, cloisters, courtyards and all in the most magical and tranquil setting. Matara offers a truly unique and breathtaking wedding experience.

The Great Tythe Barn Tetbury

Wedding photography in the Cotswolds doesn’t get better than this. One of the many reasons I love shooting wedding photography at Great Tythe Barn is because of its location. A hidden gem nestled in rural Gloucestershire. A stunning Grade II listed 16th Century stone barn and a beautiful walled garden and courtyard give me so many opportunities to take great shots of my clients and their wedding guests.

Oxfordshire wedding photography at its finest. Stylish and romantic- most of the Cotswold wedding photographers love shooting wedding photography at Caswell House because it is the quintessential wedding venue. With its historic 15th-century manor house and lovingly restored medieval barns. Imagine flagstone floors, honey-coloured Cotswold stone and oak beams with amazing landscaped gardens.

The Barn at Upcote near Cheltenham

The Barn at Upcote is a set of beautiful Cotswold stone barns, surrounding a landscaped courtyard; which offers an intimate place for weddings of any size. The barn has been expertly and sympathetically restored and renovated – with true attention to detail – to reflect the past, but also to be conveniently modern.

Located in the heart of the Cotswolds, just 15 minutes from Cheltenham. Hidden away down a long private road just off the A40, the Barn has a unique outlook over a beautiful Cotswold valley and the local farm.

Kingscote Barn near Tetbury
Kingscote Barn is an award-winning and privately-owned barn nestled in the Cotswold Hills. It is a beautifully restored 17th-century Cotswold stone barn in the middle of a 440-acre farm, offering complete privacy from all roads and houses. You will be captivated by the tranquillity of the barn, and enchanted by glorious green fields and far-reaching views from every angle.
This scenic, Gloucestershire-based wedding venue boasts exposed Cotswold stone walls, original beams and an Oak gallery. Kingscote Barn’s chandeliers, and high vaulted ceiling, give this historic building a spacious and airy feeling.
